Troy’s Notes

Our last hunt of the season is fast approaching.  We have some new faces visiting us at the end of this month and can’t wait to get to know them.  Check back soon to see how the hunt went!

Turkey number 2 bit the dust a few weeks ago.  Troy called this one in with his superb calling skills.  Actually, it was the only the second turkey he killed using his turkey calling skills.  A few more years and he might call himself a professional turkey hunter too.  How is your turkey season going?
 

Even though we don’t guide turkey hunts on our land, I am able to turkey hunt myself. The last two years I have had success with the turkeys around here. This year is the first year that I can say I successfully stalked, called and killed a turkey all in one day! [...]

This season has finally come to an end. We are finishing up our last booked hunt of the season. As of 4 pm on Saturday January 17 one management buck has been taken and the other is still waiting for it’s final shot.
