Turkey Season Off to Good Start

April 2nd, 2009

What a great first turkey of the season.

What a great first turkey of the season.

Even though we don’t guide turkey hunts on our land, I am able to turkey hunt myself. The last two years I have had success with the turkeys around here. This year is the first year that I can say I successfully stalked, called and killed a turkey all in one day! Turkey hunting is very addictive. I think I might have to hunt down another one! How is your turkey season going?

Final Hunt of the 2008-2009 Season

Rusty braved the cold for 2 days for this nice management buck.

Rusty braved the cold for 2 days for this nice management buck.

This season has finally come to an end. We are finishing up our last booked hunt of the season. As of 4 pm on Saturday January 17 one management buck has been taken and the other is still waiting for it’s final shot.

We have had great fun this year. The season flew by so fast, as most seasons do. We look forward to seeing the little bucks we let go this year turn into big bucks for us next year. We hope that each hunter had a great time and that they join us again next year.

I will update later to let you know if our final hunter hit his mark!

**UPDATE**
Harry did hit his mark later that evening, but unfortunately by the time the deer was recovered it was too dark (and cold) for a pictures.

Great work guys!

Hello!

This is Troy’s Hunt Club’s first blog entry.  I am hoping that all who come by our site leave us a message.  I hope to hear many stories from past hunters, new hunter information requests, and comments about our website.

As blogging is new to me, I ask for your patience in the design of these pages.  I will learn and keep adding so that everyone who reads our blog can add their own comments.

Happy reading…and writing.
